Who are we, and what do these terms cover?
The MuffinPay websites (the “sites”) are operated by MuffinPay (“MuffinPay”, “we”, “us”). These terms apply to muffinpay.com, waitlist.muffinpay.com and every MuffinPay site that links here. Separate terms will apply to MuffinPay services when they launch, and you will see and accept them before you use those services.
Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we use your data. They form part of these terms.
Who can join the waitlist?
- You must be 18 or over and able to enter into a binding agreement
- One place per person. Your name, email and mobile number must be your own and accurate
- MuffinPay services will open country by country, and only where we and our licensed partners can offer them lawfully
What does joining the waitlist give me?
Joining gives you a place in line, a personal invite link and code, and the rewards below. It is not an account, a payment service or a financial product, and it does not hold or move money.
When MuffinPay opens in your country, invites go out in order of place in line. To use the services you will need to pass identity and eligibility checks with us and our regulated partners.
How do the Founding and Early Household rewards work?
| Your place in line | Your reward |
|---|---|
| 1 to 10,000, or any place once 10 friends have joined with your link | Founding Household: no MuffinPay transfer fee on your personal money transfers and bill payments, for as long as your account stays active |
| 10,001 to 110,000 | Early Household: no MuffinPay transfer fee on personal money transfers and bill payments for 12 months, counted from your first payment |
| Everyone on the waitlist | Genesis Karmic Points, as described below |
Once you become a Founding Household you stay one, even if others move ahead of you in line.
“No MuffinPay transfer fee” means MuffinPay does not charge you its own fee for the transfer or bill payment. You always see the exchange rate and the amount that will arrive before you confirm. Card fees, and fees that a bank, biller or network charges you directly, are not included. Fair-use limits for personal use will be published before launch, so the reward cannot be used for business volumes or resale.
Rewards are personal and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for cash.
How do referrals work?
- A friend counts when they join through your link, or type your invite code, with their own name, email and mobile number
- Each friend who joins moves you 100 places up the line
- When 3 friends have joined, we pay your first bill back home at launch, up to US$10 or its equivalent, once your account is active
- When 10 friends have joined, you become a Founding Household
- Your own sign-ups, duplicate or fake sign-ups, and sign-ups gained through spam or misleading messages do not count. We may remove them and the rewards they earned
Share your link only with people who would welcome it, and follow the rules of the platforms you share on.
What are Genesis Karmic Points?
Genesis Karmic Points are a record of your early support: points for joining and for each friend who joins with your link. They have no cash value and are not money, e-money, a security, an investment or a promise of profit. They cannot be bought, sold or transferred.
When the $MUFFIN token launches, Genesis Karmic Points will convert into $MUFFIN on terms we will publish before the conversion. Conversion will be available only where local law allows it, and may require identity checks. If conversion is not lawful where you live, you will not receive $MUFFIN for your points. We may adjust points earned through fraud or abuse.
Nothing on the sites is an offer to sell, or a solicitation to buy, any token, security or financial product.
Can MuffinPay change the waitlist programme?
We will honour the rewards you have earned as described here. We may change or end the programme for future sign-ups, and we may change how rewards are delivered where the law, a regulator or a licensed partner requires it, or to stop abuse. If a change affects rewards you have earned, we will tell you by email and offer the closest lawful alternative.
What am I not allowed to do on the sites?
- Break the law, or help anyone else to
- Give false information, impersonate anyone, or create more than one place
- Interfere with the sites’ security, scrape them at scale, or use bots to sign up or refer
- Copy, reuse or misuse MuffinPay’s name, logo or content without written permission
Who owns the content and the MuffinPay name?
MuffinPay owns the registered MuffinPay® word mark and logo (Indian Trade Mark No. 5354624). The MuffinPay name, logo and muffin symbol, and the sites, their design, text, graphics and code, belong to MuffinPay or its licensors. You may share links to the sites and your own invite link freely. Our Trademark and Official Channels page lists the only official MuffinPay websites.
Is the information on the sites advice?
No. The sites are for information only. Nothing on them is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and services, rewards and figures may change before launch. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
What is MuffinPay responsible for?
We work hard to keep the sites accurate and available, but we provide them “as is” and cannot promise they will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in connection with the sites and the waitlist is limited to US$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Which law applies, and can these terms change?
If you use the sites as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts. The service terms you accept at launch will set out the governing law for MuffinPay services.
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and we will email you about significant changes. Questions: info [at] muffinpay.com.
