Regulated partners

Last updated

MuffinPay is a technology company and does not itself hold payment, banking or virtual-asset licences. Each regulated activity, such as issuing wallets, collecting payments or verifying identity, is carried out by a partner authorised for that service in that market.

Which partner carries out each MuffinPay service?

Each row is one service in one market. MuffinPay builds and runs the technology; the authorised partner holds the licence.

Every partner's authorisation is checked against the regulator's published records before we work with them. Stablecoin services are not offered in the United Kingdom.

How can I check an authorisation myself?

You can check payment authorisations in India on the Reserve Bank of India's list of authorised payment system operators, and virtual-asset licences on each regulator's public register.

Does MuffinPay hold customer money?

No. Customer money stays with the regulated partner, for example in an escrow account at a scheduled commercial bank for rupee wallets. Our Security page explains more.
